Welcome to the NC ALHN website

The goal at NCALHN is to be a resource to genealogists and historians for searching the men, women, and children of North Carolina's past. We are a part of the the American Local History Network. We encourage you to check out not only our county pages, but also our special topic pages about specific topics on NC history. The NCALHN project strives to provide the best resources for your perusal. Please feel free to to contact me or any county coordinator regarding issues with any questions or concerns.

Please see a list of announcements on Announcment page

You may want to begin your search by exploring the county websites or perhaps the special topics page. If you discover that one of the counties is in need of a coordinator and you are interested in adopting, please see the adoption guidelines. Also, volunteers are needed to host special topics pages and help transcribe material. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact NCALHN. Thank you!
