Colleges and Universities
Below is a list of Universities and colleges in North Carolina - (HBCU) after a school name means that it is a part of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Why are these listed here? If your ancestor graduated from one of these schools, you can contact them to see what information they have on Alumni. Although the Alumni Association seems like a good place to start, it may be better to start with the school's archives or special collections! They have alumi records, especially for those alumni from years gone by. Alumni records not with the alumni association are likely stored at the University/College special collections/university archives department, often a section of the university library.
Please note that if you send me a link to add an education source to this page that is not relevant to this page's scope, it will be ignored. This is NOT an educational site. It's a local history and genealogy site.
